Yoga Asanas
Yoga, is one of the most sought after meditation and spiritual exercises in the modern world. Originating on the Indian sub-continent more than 5000 years ago, yoga has been in practice for centuries in India. Yoga is the art of meditation and the final objective of the art is the unification of the mind and the soul, and the body.
There are more than 80 yoga postures. In Sanskrit, it is known as asanas. 20 of the 80 are in common use in today’s world. The rest are classified as advanced asanas in yoga. Hath yoga asanas concern the muscular build up of the body, very similar to the body building exercises of today, but altogether different in nature. The purpose of yoga asanas is to achieve the perfect body and to bring longevity to you health.
There are many asanas is yoga and all of them have different uses. The trikonasana is the triangular asana poses that can be performed by keeping your feet straight but apart. The padmasana or the lotus pose in yoga is one of the most famous among the asanas. This yoga asana require quite a bit of flexibility. The asana is excellent to maintain body shape and composure.
The Ardha Matsyendrasana or the half twist asana from the spine is practiced by rotating the spine. The king of asasna is known as the sushanasana or the headstand poses. The incredible asana or posture can be practiced only by a rare few. The head needs to be placed between your hands.
