Yoga Is Science

Is yoga truly a science? This is a debatable question that often occupies many conversations. Yoga derived from the Sanskrit language means “integration”, and represents a process of constant effort for identification and elimination of all the elements, which would lead to unhealthy body and mind. It is absolutely true that yoga is science. Yoga techniques play a vital role in neutralizing the foreign bodies that cause harm to a healthy body. It is a neuro-science as it perceives the patterns of brain chemistry. Scientific yoga studies the conscious mind and thus relates to psychology.
Yoga exercise, postures and relaxation techniques enhances circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids expelling the toxins from the body tissues and aiding in absorption of fresh nutrients. Additionally, lower the stress levels in muscles, the nervous system and the mind.  Yoga is science that helps develop mental clarity and balance, subsequently improving concentration. The various deep breathing exercises enrich the blood supply with oxygen, and improve the efficiency of the immune system. With so many associations with other scientific fields, scientific yoga is all set to be one of the most popular exercises in the world.
